Worst Race: My third Jr Ex race, I had the leaders jersey on, was on my favorite course in Angel Fire, New Mexico. After about 10 minutes I bonked. Like really bonked. I really hate quitting races, so essentially I pedaled around the course suffering and even at one point ate a caterpillar I saw on the ground because I was so cooked.
Best Race: Snowmass Norba 06, Keystone 07, both mud races!
I race bikes because: I love to go fast, pushing myself and being outside. But now I have met such an excellent group of people that travel around and go to all these same races, I couldn’t give it up. Racing bikes is an integral part of my life.
