Decades ago, a child chained a bicycle to a tree on Washington’s Vashon Island. The tree, unperturbed, grew around the bike. | Photo by Ethan Welty/Tandem

Hey that’s my bike!!!,..and I want it back. We bought that bike on the way there,..it was 1963. My Dad picked that model because the tires were solid no – inner tube – no chance of flats and no chance of him having to fix it! That was a great first bike!
Would it be a problem if I sawed it out of the tree?
